| The telephone is buzzing its too late to weep,
Again I find myself on Loser Street,
Television static is snowing down,
This song singing man is going down
I left my band and the world is new,
It´s left me with a new idea to chew,
I´m looking at myself from a different angle
Or what´s left of me from being so spangled
And I don´t know if I´m trying to hard….
Murmurs in the next door room where I
Hear my life dissected by the cruelest knife,
It´s amazing how opinions are easy to give,
The answers you get are harder to live
Out in the streets I´m strolling this city
Where the darkness breeds a new type of pretty,
I´m dancing to the sound of a broken violin
Trying to find a place to make new sins
And I don´t know if I´m trying to hard….
I find myself high in Catholic Churches
Speaking to the priest about Pagan worship,
We relate he´s a spiritual man,
I´m bad at doctrine but he understands
Onwards right now to a Dada Gallery,
Communing with a freak on Kastanien Alle,
I forgot more than you will ever know
But you got good shoes and I like your show
And I don´t know if I´m trying to hard….
A Republican rants in the wrong type of bar,
How the leading Democrat has lost his stars
For all polls we go back and forth,
Till the fat lady sings or a third world war,
Yes I´m worried about the rise of the right,
History repeating in front of our eyes,
But you gotta take time and look at it -
Ask yourself aloud “will you stand for it”
And I don´t know if I´m trying to hard….
The aliens are here and they´re here to breed
But still I´m right here on Loser Street
The voices your hear in your recess mind
Well they make you grow in crooked lines
